St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota, is seeking a work-at-home inpatient medical coding specialist. After training, you will have the opportunity to work from home. You must have your high school diploma or its equivalent and a minimum of an associate’s degree from an accredited school of Health Information Technology.
You must also have at least one year of experience and extensive knowledge of the ICD-9-CM, MS-DRG coding systems, as well as knowledge of disease processes, surgical procedures, and pharmacology.
You will be required to acquire your RHIA or RHIT within six months of being hired. Additional requirements: advanced pathophysiology knowledge, excellent verbal and written skills, and a thorough knowledge of clinical documentation requirements for inpatient health records and HIM workflow and revenue cycle processing workflow.
