Connections Academy is seeking work at home math tutors to manage virtual classrooms of pre-screened K-12 students. In addition to tutoring students in various math subjects, you will also be monitoring student activity within the classroom, providing support and feedback, and logging student contacts.

These are part-time, 10-month positions that start mid-August.  You may work up to five days per week, Monday to Friday, if you like (four hours per day), between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. EST.

Qualifications (from work-at-home job listing):

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics is preferred
• State teaching certification in Secondary Mathematics is preferred
• Experience with online instruction is a plus
• Prior experience as tutor is a plus
• Strong technology skills (especially with Microsoft OS and MS Office)
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Customer focused approach
• High degree of flexibility
• Demonstrated ability to work well in fast-paced environment
• Team player track record
• Computer, headphones, microphone, and high-speed access to Internet
