WomensForum is hiring freelance writers in a variety of subject areas: home and living, entertainment, food, love, parenting, style, and health.

In this position, you will be writing articles each week for the website (minimum 250 words), staying abreast of current and trending topics across the Internet, pitching story ideas to your channel editor and editorial director, and researching and fact-checking your work.

Requirements (from work-at-home job listing):

  • 2 years experience writing about subject of interest for the Web or print
  • Great writing skills and the ability to put them to use cleanly and quickly
  • Previous experience with basic HTML, SEO, and social media
  • News judgement: find under-the-radar stories that the WF reader will love
  • Audience understanding: knowledge and experience with the WF readership (women, 25-45) and their news interests
  • Fresh takes: look for new spins and angles for front-page stories that will make content stand out
  • Reporting skills: willingness to pick up the phone or message sources directly
  • Pitching: consistently be a set of eyes on the news and bring story ideas to editorial team
  • Experience with with video and other types of storytelling is a plus
  • Bachelors degree in Journalism, Communications, English or related field or equivalent work experience required

This position can be located anywhere and is 100% telecommute.
