DIRECTV Hiring Work at Home Customer Service! Online Training!

DIRECTV is hiring work-at-home customer service.  Training is online!  You must have your high school diploma or its equivalent, and you must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.  Additionally, you must have a quiet home office and meet the equipment, Internet connectivity, and phone requirements.

All applicants must be able to participate in an online 6-week training period (all classes), and be able to pass all pre-employment screenings.  To be successful in this position, you must be able to work with multiple software programs, Windows applications, and search engines.

Excellent listening and communication abilities are a must.  Finally, all at-home representatives must be tech savvy and capable of troubleshooting software and restart programs, as well as clearing Web cookies, browser history, and temporary Web files.

Additional Requirements (from employment listing):

 

  • One year continuous and verifiable employment; 6+ months recent and continuous customer service, retail, or call center experience  preferred.
  • Able to multitask and prioritize; able to be effective in a light sales (informative upselling) environment.
  • High PC navigation ability in Windows; ability to quickly learn client specific technical programs, working simultaneously with multiple software apps; able to learn systems to an expert troubleshooting level.
  • Utilize available resources to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Follow strict processes, including established scripting to avoid unnecessary out-of-the box steps.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written) required.
  • Strong listening; professional telephone manner; able to deal tactfully and effectively with customers.
  • Ability to get along with others, accept constructive feedback and exhibit a positive attitude.
  • Passion for customer service; able to work effectively in a team environment, meeting individual goals.
  • Strong decision making and analytic abilities and deal with conflict resolution effectively.
  • Ability to work and perform in a fast paced, virtual production environment; type a minimum of 30 wpm.
  • Ability to learn in an online training environment and adapt to changing work requirements.
  • Must provide ergonomically satisfactory work station.
