Jackson Hewitt is hiring seasonal home-based customer service agents in the following U.S. states: Alabama, Colorado, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indianan, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, North Carolina, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and, Virginia.

These are part-time home-based positions lasting up to four months.

“This is a Seasonal Work from Home Customer Service Associate position. The ideal Seasonal Work from Home agent is Internet savvy and has technical aptitude when it comes to online tools and research. You will think outside the box, solve problems, answer questions, and resolve concerns presented by our customers. Our customers contact us primarily by phone and we hope you can help us deliver customer obsessed results.”

Basic Requirements (from work-at-home job listing):

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Your address must be in one of the states we are currently hiring. Any applicants with home addresses outside of hiring states will not be considered
  • A dedicated and distraction-free home work space
  • Familiar with various operating systems, chat, email, and the Internet
  • Ability to participate and complete mandatory training
  • Ability to work various shifts based on business needs (hours can vary each week)

Further Requirements (from listing):

  • Customer Focus; ability to empathize with and prioritize customer needs
  • Uphold company values and respect every customer; exude patience and ownership with each customer
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and set appropriate expectations with customers
  • Communication Skills; ability to communicate clearly and concisely with both external customers and coworkers
  • Spanish is preferred but not necessary
  • Comprehension skills– ability to clearly understand and respond appropriately to the issues that customers present
  • Problem Solving Skills; ability to approach problems logically and with good judgment to ensure the appropriate customer outcome
  • Ability to make appropriate decisions on behalf of the customer quickly and effectively
  • Desire to continually learn
  • Solution oriented and self-motivated
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work time to ensure efficiency
  • Computer Skills

This home-based job is flexible. Payment is competitive, with incentives for excellent performance.
