Wine.com is seeking work at home chat recommendation specialists in New York and California. Flexible, part-time (15 to 20 hours per week; 40 to 50 hours per week November through January) and seasonal home-based opportunities are available.
This work at home opportunity will begin in November.

“Currently we are seeking part-time Recommendation Specialists for our “live-chat” recommendations service on the weekends during the upcoming holiday season (November – December). Applicants must be wine-knowledgeable, customer service oriented, and computer savvy.”
Requirements (from work-at-home job listing):
- Customer oriented and friendly with a supportive presence on chat, email, and phone.
- Strong verbal and communication skills
- Previous experience in customer service, retail, or hospitality a plus.
- Ability to work well with customers and colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of call center technology – proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Solid data entry and typing skills (preferably 35 words per minute).
- A friendly, “can do” attitude.
- Must have access to a Windows laptop or desktop computer with fast internet connectivity.
- Knowledge and enjoyment of wine desired, but not required.

“In this role, you will be talking to customers via “live-chat”, recommending wines, explaining Wine.com policy and procedures, and quickly navigating the Wine.com website for fast responses. For this holiday season, we need candidates who can “live-chat” during weekend hours of 5AM to 8PM (4-6 hour shifts) and some weekday evenings between 5PM and 8PM.”
Training for these work at home chat positions will take place in the company’s Berkeley, CA and Westbury, NY customer service centers.
Work at home chat agents must be willing to work mornings, evenings, and weekends. Shifts fall between the hours of 5 a.m. and 8 p.m. (PST).
