Volt is seeking work at home game advisors/call center reps. It appears that these listings are available nationwide. As a game advisor, you will be providing excellent customer service via both verbal and written communication, resolving customer issues, and communicating with gamers of all skill abilities.
Compensation is $10 per hour. You must have a quiet home work space with low ambient noise during working hours.
Job Requirements (from work-at-home employment listing):
- A passion to help customers; discipline and independence to work remotely from home
- Exceptional and professional communication skills; both verbal and written
- Experience in troubleshooting for gameplay on PC, Mac, Xbox and PlayStation consoles
- A minimum 2 years of customer service experience preferred
- Availability to attend approximately one to three weeks of required online video-conference training, on a fixed schedule that may include weekends
- An ability to maintain productivity standards and meet agreed upon objectives
- De-escalations/retention experience
- “Can-Do” and upbeat personality; critical thinking and process analysis
- Detail oriented, strong organizational, and follow up skills
- A solution oriented mentality – “I will find the cure” philosophy
- An ability to be flexible as well as a strong aptitude to adjust to change
- An ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously; including offline or special project work
- Basic experience using Microsoft Office; familiarity with social networking (Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, etc)
- An understanding of multiple racing, RPG, FPS games and gaming terminology; Broad user of multiple gaming platforms
- Availability to work set shifts as needed (may rotate from time to time based upon shift bidding procedures)
You must have high-speed Internet (allowance provided by company), and you must own one of the two major consoles (Xbox or Playstation). Finally, you must have a dedicated and reliable analog phone line (allowance also provided).
