Shutterstock is hiring home-based weekend image reviewers in North America for weekends only. You will be evaluating editorial images over the Internet for their “quality, technical execution, editorial integrity, and adherence” to the company’s image acceptance standards, according to the employment listing.
This is a freelance position and will based upon your weekend availability. In addition to reviewing the images, you will be adding metadata to help them perform better in search engines.
Requirements (from work-at-home job listing):
- Mandatory: Domain expertise and passionate enthusiasm for photography with 2+ years of editorial photography experience, preferably as a photographer, contributor to stock agencies, photo or metadata editor, or photo researcher.
- Extensive knowledge of editorial events (news, entertainment, and sports), image industry trends, and styles.
- Availability to review a minimum of 5-8 hours per weekend.
- Enthusiastic about making many detailed judgments repetitively.
- Highly organized, super analytical and extremely detailed oriented.
- Adept at super detailed image and metadata evaluation, along with a basic foundation of best practices in post-production processes.
- Strong command of English; comfortable communicating through email and instant message, and participating in virtual team meetings.
- Must have wired high-speed wired broadband Internet access.
