Boardroom Resumes is hiring work at home resume writers in the U.S. These are contract home-based positions paying $14 to $16 per hour.

You set your own schedule, taking as few or as many resume projects as you feel you can handle.

From the company:

“The ideal candidate knows how to research subject matter and ask good questions to better understand a client’s professional work history. You’ll need a Windows computer and Microsoft Office. The role is project-based and flexible in hours. This position will be remote/work from home.”

Requirements (from work-at-home job listing):

  • Professional resume writing background preferred but not required. Those with 2+ years in career coaching, human resources, or recruiting experience will be considered
  • Extraordinary writing and editing skills with impeccable attention to detail
  • Superb time management skills and personal organization skills
  • Customer service is in your DNA
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word with a strong aptitude for formatting. We require the use of Microsoft Word for all writers (no online Word alternatives, OpenOffice, etc.)
  • Resume writing certifications a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Characteristics of the Ideal Candidate (from listing):

  • You communicate well. You can write clearly, getting your point across without fluff, and generally have a great grasp of the written word.
  • You know your grammar. You know when to use “your” and “you’re.”
  • You’re pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or already have a college degree.
  • You’re eager to modify your writing style based on our feedback. We’ve got a great system of resume principles that get our clients outstanding results, so we’re looking for people who happily accept training.

In this work at home role, you will check in for assignments on a regular basis, review job descriptions for the company’s clients’ positions, as well as write resume content following the company’s guidelines and standards.
