“Data Marshall, Inc. has an immediate need for experienced coders, with specific DRG Coding experience, to support our client efforts. This is a “Work from Home”, fully remote position that will not require travel. The positions are 40 hours per week and will be from 8:00AM – 4:30PM CST Monday through Friday. This will start as a 1099 taxable position with the opportunity to move into a W-2 based position.”
Requirements (from work-at-home job listing):
· Minimum 2 years of experience coding Inpatient claims.
· Should have coding knowledge with certification from AAPC or AHIMA
· Broad knowledge on medical conditions and its pathophysiology
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
Duties (from listing):
· Code charts related to hospital inpatient visits.
· Apply coding knowledge and identify opportunities on CC and MCC conditions/DRG assignments
· Identify query opportunities to assist in making more appropriate DRG code assignments
· Provide rationale on each of the audit findings
· Good command on In-Patient coding guidelines/AHIMA coding clinics
Estimated pay for these remote medical coding positions is $57,600.00 – $63,360.00 per year.
