Hospital Corporation of America is seeking work-at-home medical coding specialists (specifically HIM Coder III). You will be coding inpatient records for multiple facilities. You must be able to perform independently with little supervision.
An undergraduate degree in HIM/HIT is preferred, but equivalent work experience will be considered. A minimum two years of acute care hospital inpatient coding experience is required. RHIT, RHIA, CCS, or CCA certification is preferred.
The right applicant will have regulatory coding (ICD-9-CMand MS-DRGs) and associated reimbursement knowledge, excellent communication and analytical skills, and be detail-oriented and organized. Finally, you must have PC skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
