REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
2 years of certified coding in a health plan
REQUIRED LICENSE, CERTIFICATION, ASSOCIATION:
Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (Generally, the occupational knowledge and specific technical and professional skills and abilities required to perform the essential duties of this job):
- Review of all policies for appropriate clinical code inclusion
- Cross reference competitor policies for similar codes
- Update all designated vendor coding crosswalks monthly
- Crosswalk and monitor all PA criteria to appropriate clinical policy to maintain hierarchy
- Interface with configuration to ensure Policies and PA matrix aligned with configuration
- Interface with data analytics to determine frequency of codes/claim
- Assist with maintenance and audit of PA matrix/PEGA
- Audit full cycle from PA to configuration for alignment
- New code awareness and input
