Work at Home Medical Coding with Lexicode – Outpatient Training

Lexicode has several job opportunities available to coders who will be offered three weeks of paid outpatient coding training in emergency room, evaluation and management, and injection and infusion records.

Training will take place in the company’s Columbia, South Carolina office beginning on April 7th, 2014.  After training, you will work remotely from home coding outpatient records.

Qualifications (from work-at-home job listing):

  • RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CCS-P credential from AHIMA, OR, a CPC, or CPC-H from the AAPC; or the ability to obtain one of these credentials before April 7, 2014
  • Must live local to Columbia, SC and have reliable transportation during training
  • Ability to attend the 3 week training program in Columbia, SC beginning April 7, 2014
  • Ability to work from home using DSL or cable high speed internet
  • Commitment to work for LexiCode for a minimum of two years
  • Computer proficiency
  • Preferred:
  • Experience with EMR, multiple encoders and abstracting systems
  • 6 months of acute care coding experience
