Online Tutor Jobs: Economics, Chemistry, Calculus, and More

Tutor.com is currently seeking online tutors in the following subjects: Economics, Chemistry, Calculus, Statistics, Trigonometry, Biology, Finance, and Economics!

To qualify for this work at home position, you must have a B.A. or higher from, or be currently enrolled in an American or Canadian college or university. You must also be eligible to work in either the U.S. or Canada and have a valid Social Security number.

Additional Requirements (from the job site):

  • Available to tutor a minimum average of 5 hours per week
  • Possess strong content knowledge in English, math, science, or social studies at the level you wish to tutor—service covers elementary grade through first year college
  • Demonstrate the ability to explain concepts to young people of a variety of ages within our online environment
  • For most subjects, an applicant must be a college sophomore or higher or have graduated from an accredited US or Canadian University by the Fall of 2013 in order to proceed with the application process. A college degree is required to tutor the following subjects: Accounting, Economics, Finance, College Essay Writing and College Statistics. Equivalencies or evaluations of degrees earned outside of the U.S. or Canada are not accepted.
  • Pass more than one subject exam in the Tutor.com application process

The company operates around the clock, which allows you great flexibility in scheduling when you work.  Additionally, the company has both institutional and public clients, therefore, there is always plenty of work.

Home-based tutors are paid monthly, and bonuses are available for excellent performance.  If you apply for a position, and there is not a current need for tutors in that subject area, you will be placed on a wait list and contacted when a position does become available.
