Requirements (from work-at-home job listing):
- Bachelor’s degree from a top university
- At least three years of experience as an SAT/ACT tutor
- Willingness to work at odd times to accommodate international students
- Deep knowledge of the SAT/ACT and US standardized tests
- Passion for education
- Exceptional writing and emailing skills
- Excellent interpersonal and listening skills and strong verbal communication ability
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle numerous details
- Ability to work independently
- Access to reliable, high-speed internet
- Ability to tutor AP math and/or science subjects is preferred
Responsibilities (from the listing):
- Private online tutoring of students, potentially up to 30 hours a week
- Complete command of the ArborBridge SAT and ACT curricula, as well as mastery of standardized exams and academic subjects taught
- Professional and on-time completion of administrative tasks, such as logging lesson notes, preparing for sessions, and communicating with families
- Attendance at monthly online professional development workshops and trainings
- Providing curriculum feedback and insight
- Providing demonstrations of the company’s services to prospective clients and referral sources
Base pay is $47,500. The company provides its work at home tutors ongoing support and professional development.
ArborBridge tutors must be willing to work at odd hours to accommodate international students living in different time zones.
