Home-Based Field Service Rep Jobs with The Nielsen Company

old-television-imageThe Nielsen Company is currently seeking home-based field service reps throughout the U.S.  The Nielsen Company tracks the TV and media watching habits of Americans. The data obtained from these efforts influences television programming in the U.S.

As a representative, you will manage an assigned territory of households, build relationships with Nielsen families, and teach the families how to use the company’s equipment.  Additionally, you will install, maintain, and assist with hardware and software issues.

Requirements (from work-at-home employment listing):

  • Previous experience with consumer electronics
  • Software systems aptitude and networking knowledge
  • Superior customer service skills with the ability to coach family members of all ages
  • Strong negotiation skills to gain and maintain cooperation of Panel members
  • Computer skills including Windows based PC proficiency
  • Self-motivated; excellent organizational/time management skills
  • Experience working with minimal supervision
  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline preferred.
  • Technical diploma, certificate of completion, associates degree, or military experience is a plus.
  • High School diploma required; valid driver’s license required

Your schedule will include evening and weekend hours. You will be provided a company car. All expenses associated with the vehicle will be covered by the company.

Additionally, you will be provided a laptop and all equipment necessary to successfully perform your job duties.  You will be required to attend six weeks of paid training in Tampa, Florida (lodging and transportation is provided).

Compensation is a base salary of $36,400, plus quarterly incentives/bonuses based on performance and paid overtime. The company also offers a generous benefits package, which includes health, dental, vision, and a 401K.
