American Airlines Hiring Work at Home Reservations Reps

American Airlines is hiring work at home reservations agents in Texas. You must live within 75 miles of the Dallas/Fort Worth Reservations Center in order to apply. These are full-time positions.

Requirements (from work-at-home employment listing):

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including p.m. shifts, weekends and holidays assigned by seniority according to operational needs, and overtime as required
  • The operation covers a 24-hour period which includes weekends, holidays and overtime as required
  • Be located within a seventy-five (75) mile radius of the Southern Reservations Office
  • Representatives are required to provide at own their expense:
    • Required to provide and maintain all computer equipment. Must have a PC with a minimum operating system of Windows 7, monitor, key board, mouse, surge protector, etc), along with a dedicated land phone line (a headset and phone pad will be supplied)
    • A separate, dedicated, smoke-free area within the home in which to work including a workstation that is ergonomically sound
    • Subscribe to and maintain a high-speed internet connection such as DSL, broadband cable or fiber optic with a minimum subscribed downstream/upstream connection speed of 2MB/1MB or higher
    • Have and maintain properly located smoke detectors, satisfactory lighting and a grounded electrical outlet
  • Reliable transportation to attend training and team meetings at any local meeting/training location
  • Ability to perform duties while remaining at a workstation for extended periods of time
  • Employees are expected to work as scheduled and in accordance with the American Airlines Attendance policy
  • Ability to concentrate on details and handle multiple tasks with accuracy while providing outstanding customer service
  • Self-disciplined and accountable for performing job functions with minimal supervision
  • Resourceful and skilled in problem-solving and be able to handle difficult/stressful situations
  • Previous Reservations or Customer Service experience in a call-center environment is desired, but not required

Compensation starts at $10.33/hour. After completion of training and a six-month probation, reps can earn up to $17.00/hour.
