FedEx Freight is seeking a work-at-home virtual logistics account manager. This position is available nationwide. You will be selling transportation brokerage services, developing relationships with new and existing customers, negotiating rates with carriers, and monitoring the completion of contracts, including follow-up with customers.
The ideal person will have the following (from the listing):
* Bachelor’s degree in business, sales and/or logistics preferred, but not required
* Minimum 2 years of experience in transportation sales (transportation brokerage experience preferred)
* Experience in transportation operations (dispatching, load planning, carrier relations, etc)
* Must be resilient in a sales environment
* Must be comfortable with heavy cold calling/inside sales
* Must be motivated by and thrive in a commission-based sales environment
