You write really great bug reports that save developers time. You know your way around VMware, and you can quickly and efficiently test features across all sorts of platforms, devices, and OS’s.
* You’re technical. Both in the use of technology, setting up environments and using web proxies and other tools for testing, as well as a solid understanding of code. You don’t necessarily need to know how to code, but you understand general logic and frameworks enough to know, given certain symptoms, where the problem might reside, or what additional tests need to be run to get there.
* You’re self directed You keep track of your stuff. You’re organized. You don’t need someone micromanaging and all up in your business. You work well in a distributed environment and manage your time well.
* You love organizing information and making it digestible. You get great satisfaction distilling large and complex amounts of information to things that are easily digestible and interesting and/or entertaining to read. You love writing a well crafted, concise email.
The company is especially interested in those who have the following: experience with online media properties, particularly experience leading an online publisher; an understanding of CMS systems, social media, and geo targeting; experience with ad servers like DFP or OpenX; experience with database/pipeline testing; experience working remotely in a distributed environment.
