“The Grievance Coordinator is responsible for receiving, investigating, and resolving member administrative appeals, grievances, and provider administrative appeals.  Resolutions of member issues will be in compliance with regulatory and accrediting agency standards.”

Qualifications (from work-at-home job listing):

Required

  • High School diploma
  • 3 years of experience within a health plan, managed care organization or third party administrator
  • 3 years of experience supporting medical claims processing
  • Knowledgeable in medical terminology, hospital and outpatient procedures
  • Understanding of appeals process and utilization management
  • Working knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with PC-based software programs including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical, research and organizational skills
  • Ability to work remotely and independently
  • Access to high speed broadband or DSL internet in a secure home office

Preferred

  • Undergraduate college courses
  • Certified coder
  • Experience processing appeals and grievances
