Allegis Hiring Work at Home General Transcriptionists

Allegis Communications is seeking experienced work at home general transcriptionists from across the U.S. to transcribe recorded statements for the property and casualty insurance market.  These are independent contractor positions.

You must have your high school diploma or its equivalent.

Further Requirements (from work-at-home job listing):

  • Demonstrate honesty and integrity at all times.
  • Two years of experience in Q&A transcription (In lieu of experience court reporting training with 160 wpm minimum and CAT software mastery will be accepted.)
  • Background checks are required.
  • Strict computer system security requirements (robust internet security software, free encryption software, use of a VPN to connect to the Allegis transcription job queue, etc.)
  • Intermediate computer knowledge/skills are a must.
  • Must be using a Windows-based PC (cannot use a Mac).
  • Must have a full, valid version of Microsoft Word or Microsoft Office.
  • Must have a digital USB foot pedal.
  • Must have a high speed Internet connection (DSL or faster).

These are part-time positions. Pay is by the page, and pay dates are twice a month (Fridays) via direct deposit.
