Modis is seeking a work-at-home content editor to create new hotel descriptions and resolve change requests (updates to hotel descriptions and amenities) submitted by clients and internal customers. This is an 8-month contract position.
You will be creating and editing content, addressing change requests, clarifying details, and making appropriate changes to descriptive text, while adhering to the company’s in-house style guidelines.
You must be efficient, self-driven, and willing to accept other projects as assigned. You must also have three to five years of editorial experience, a bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, or a related field, and excellent written, grammar, and spelling abilities. You must also be able to perform well independently and with a team.
Additionally, you must be organized and deadline-driven, have superior interpersonal skills, and be able to learn new software and technical processes swiftly. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook is a must, as is experience with content databases and management apps.
