Time Inc. and InStyle are seeking a work at home weekend news editor to write, edit, and produce content on Saturdays and Sundays. This is a part-time, senior-level position requiring 7 to 10 years of relevant experience.
You must be dependable, motivated, and able to work on your own. You must also have superior writing and copy editing abilities.
Further Requirements (from work-at-home job listing):
- Must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays from 9 am-2pm; hours may vary weekends of awards shows.
- Experience editing & writing fashion, celebrity, and/or beauty features and news, including 7+ years working at a daily content-based web site or other fast-paced publication
- Editor will edit and schedule 10-15 stories over the weekend, as well as be available to write posts for any breaking news moments that happen over the weekend.
- Decisive editor who can work quickly and efficiently
- Innate sense of style, diplomacy, and taste
- Must be able to work efficiently on their own to publish content in WordPress and publish photo galleries in vignette
- Top-notch copy editing and reporting skills
- Fact-checking experience
- Experience with Vignette, WordPress. and Photoshop a plus.
