Home-Based Customer Service Jobs with Outdoorsy

Outdoorsy is seeking home-based customer service in the U.S. Specifically, they are seeking to hire 10 freelancers for these temp positions.

Compensation is $16.00 to $20.00 per hour. In this home-based customer service position, you will be assisting customers via email, phone, and chat.

Requirements (from work-at-home job listing):

– Min. of 20 hrs/wk with ability to reach up to 40+ hrs/wk
Flexible schedule – we need help days, nights, and weekends
– You have a dedicated space in your home for work, with a desk (no working on the couch or in bed, must be a professional setup)
– Home environment must be quiet and distraction free while you are on shift (no barking dogs, children you are caring for, etc.)
– You must have a strong internet connection (speed test requirement), and equipment available
– Experience ranging from recent graduate to 3 years in a phone/email support position
– A consummate team player who enjoys wearing multiple hats
– Great written communicator: Love writing and talking about technical concepts to a wide range of audiences
– Empathetic: Know how to make people smile no matter what the circumstances
– Handles stress well: Conflict resolution skills and a personality that thrives in a fast paced environment
– Culture contributor: Aligned with our mission, self-aware and positive attitude
– Self Starter: Organized and a strong problem solver
– Reliable: Reference checks should reveal no attendance / tardiness pattern
– Will be hired via Upwork as a seasonal freelancer

Experience (from listing):

  • Insurance: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Customer Service: 3 years (Required)

These home-based customer service positions will likely last 4 to 6 months.
