Shutterstock is seeking work-at-home image reviewers in North America to evaluate images, on a freelance basis, for “overall quality, technical execution, commercial suitability, and adherence” to image acceptance standards, according to the company’s employment listing.
This position is remote. You will be an independent contractor and will use your own equipment.
Requirements (from job listing):
- Mandatory: Minimum 2-3+ years of professional photography experience or the equivalent, preferably as a photographer, contributor to stock agencies, photo editor, aspiring editor or production assistant.
- Must be available to work 25-30 hours per week including 5-8 hours per weekend.
- Must have reliable broadband Internet access, own a PC or Mac, and own a sufficient and accurate color display for viewing large images.
- Adept at photo editing, image resolution, and metadata evaluation, along with a basic foundation in best practices for post-production processes.
- Software: Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Google Docs and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Fast learner with exceptional reliability and consistency.
- Excellent writing skills; use of proper English grammar, vocabulary and spelling.
In addition to the above listed responsibilities, you will also be providing feedback to contributors, as well as performing light metadata editing.
