Demand Media is currently seeking freelance online tax specialists with tax preparation experience! Pay is competitive, and scheduling is flexible. You will be working with customers, answering their questions on Demand Media’s online Q & A platform.
Qualifications (from employment listing):
- Must be an active Enrolled Agent (EA) or an actively licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- At least 5 years’ experience in tax preparation on both the federal and state level.
- Familiarity with individual and/or business tax forms.
- Ability to research current IRS and state publications and regulations.
- Ability to troubleshoot tax situations and provide solutions.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Must have access to a computer with reliable Internet access.
- Ability to multitask is a plus.
