Lionbridge is hiring freelance content authors from across the nation to help create support documentation. You must have or be willing to install Office 2013 on your computer.
Requirements (from work-at-home job listing):
- Educated in, for example, English, Journalism, Technical Communications, or Computer Science
- Prior experience in producing technical content
- Familiarity with optimizing content for the web and understanding the common SEO principles is a plus
- Prior experience in customer service
- Precision and ability to work in changing situations with limited schedule
- Proficient at verbal and written communication in English with the ability to effectively research source data
- An appreciation for design and user experience, and their impact on content
- Strong knowledge of content authoring tools
- Ability to learn new tools, technologies, and processes quickly and independently
Responsibilities (from listing):
- Design and create engaging content independently according to pre-defined guidelines and requirements
- Gather information, interview subject matter experts, and analyze source material
- Prepare content for review and implement the comments received
- Follow the agreed project schedules, documentation processes, and customer’s guidelines
- Collaborate with the Lionbridge production team
