Home-Based Legal Transcription Jobs with Heritage Reporting Corporation

Heritage Reporting Corporation is seeking home-based legal transcriptionists in the U.S. Both full and part-time home-based positions are available.

You must have your high school diploma or its equivalent.

“Heritage Reporting Corporation, a privately owned nationwide court reporting and transcription firm based in Washington DC, has immediate openings for full-time and part-time legal transcriptionists. Legal transcription experience is required (medical transcription experience will NOT be considered for fulfilling this requirement).”

Requirements (from work-at-home job listing):

  • Transcribe minimum 85 wpm.
  • College Degree and 2 years legal transcription experience or High School Diploma with minimum 5 years legal transcription experience (medical transcription experience will NOT be considered for fulfilling this requirement).
  • Proficient with word processing software (MSWord, WordPerfect 12).
  • Firm mastery of English grammar and spellings, extensive vocabulary, and familiarity with legal terminology.
  • Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
  • AAERT Certification is preferred but not required.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required and work must be performed in the U.S.
  • Will be required to apply for and successfully obtain federal security clearance.

Compensation for these home-based legal transcription positions is competitive and per page, and is based upon turnaround times. Pay is weekly.

Volume of work is stable and guaranteed.

Home-based legal transcriptionists are also provided ongoing support and guidance with technical, formatting, and equipment issues.
