Work at Home General Transcription Jobs with Birch Creek Communications!

Birch Creek Communications is hiring work at home transcriptionists for both legal and corporate transcription. These are 1099 work at home general transcription positions.

You must be willing to buy a digital foot pedal shortly after your hire date, and you must have a good quality headset.

Legal transcription pays between $0.65 and $1.75 per page, dependent upon the client, type of work, and expected turnaround. Some clients are willing to pay much more, depending upon their needs.

Corporate transcription pays between $0.40 and $1.50 per audio minute, dependent upon your level of experience (speed), accuracy, and turnaround.

You Will Need the Following (from work-at-home job listing):

  • High Speed Internet Access.
  • Computer Running Windows XP, Windows Vista, 7 or 8.
  • FTP File Transfer Program like FileZilla, Core ftp, etc.
  • Express Scribe program for playing corporate audio files.
  • The Record Player for transcribing legal audio.
  • Messenger program like Yahoo Messenger.
  • Microsoft Word for most corporate work and for some legal clients.
  • Word Perfect for some Legal Work.
  • Good quality headset. Listening to audio through speakers is not acceptable.
  • Digital pedal capable of working with The Record Player for legal. Not all pedals with work.
  • Start Stop Pedal Power if you wish to transcribe video files.

Again, these work at home general transcription jobs are independent contractor positions, so you will be responsible for your own taxes.
