Firedoglake is seeking a freelance critic/reporter to write television, film, and video news and reviews.  You must be passionate about all things video, and be excited about sharing new artists with the site’s audience.Additionally, you will be posting content around television fare and online video content, particularly when there is a political angle.  A willingness to travel to film festivals is a definite plus.Requirements (from employment listing):

  • Strong research and writing skills
  • Deep knowledge of television, film, and video history
  • Active social media participant
  • Ability to file several stories per day
  • Good interviewing skills
  • Eye for stories that potentially go viral
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
  • Familiarity with WordPress and HTML a plus
