Bite Squad is seeking a home-based proofreader/editor in the U.S. This position is 100% work from home. Compensation is $13.00 per hour.
This will begin as a temporary 3-month contract, but may turn into a permanent role.

Requirements (from work-at-home job listing):
- We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter. Attention to detail, thoroughness, and organization are necessities to this job.
- Strong communication skills – the majority of our communication takes place online over emails or through our project management software. We need someone who is confident and polite on the phone to help resolve issues where an email might not do.
- Experience in proofreading and editing. The majority of this position involves error checking and proofreading already updated documents.
- Computer skills – This position requires daily use of Gmail, project management software, Slack, and database administration.
- Customer service experience necessary
- This position requires a firm grasp of the English language
- Previous restaurant experience is a plus
Hours are 40 per week.
Responsibilities of the position (from listing):
- Administrative – Customer service interactions with an emphasis on maintaining our great working relationship with clients. Troubleshooting/problem solving issues to get them resolved as quickly as possible
- Editorial – proofreading, editing, error checking – attention to detail is a necessity.
- Occasionally finding missing information online
- Communication of completed and yet to be completed tasks
- Addition/completion of tasks as needed in project management software
