Secret Escapes, a members-only luxury travel site, is seeking home-based freelance writers to research hotels and produce excellent sales copy. You must have a passion for travel and experience writing for the Internet.
Skills and Requirements (from freelance job listing):
- Bachelor’s degree in English or journalism
- 2+ years’ experience writing for the Web
- Experience in ecommerce (in particular flash sales)
- An understanding of and passion for travel, with a good understanding of hotels, destinations, and hotel groups – both in the U.S. and beyond
- Commercial awareness
- An ability to write in our house style
- Enthusiastic and driven
- Impeccable attention to detail and ninja-like accuracy and speed
- Innovative, creative, and imaginative
- Grammar nerd
- Customer-focused and commercially aware
Compensation appears to be $35 per sales copy item written.
You will be expected to produce a resume and sample of your work.
