SmartBrief Freelance Food and Beverage Editor Job

SmartBrief is seeking a work at home freelance editor to both write and edit its food and beverage newsletters on a fill-in basis. This is a 100% home-based job.

You will be creating daily newsletters that go out each morning to subscribers.

Requirements (from work-at-home job listing):

• Must be available daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. EST
• Applicant must have at least 2 to 5 years of experience writing or editing in a news environment
• Must love to edit material and shape content
• Thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-intensive work environment
• Proven writing and editing skills or alternative: 3 to 5 years of experience in a communications or research role with a news organization, consulting firm, trade association or other relevant group
• Ability to write and edit quickly and accurately on deadline

Job Duties (from freelance listing):

• Edit summaries for inclusion in SmartBrief’s food and beverage newsletters for grammar, style, and tone for a particular audience
• Use online publishing tools to create e-mail newsletters and other content
• Manage relationships with associations, corporations, and other business clients, as well as content providers

You will be asked to complete a timed writing and editing test prior to hire.
