Pearson hires work-at-home scorers in the U.S. and internationally for a variety of tests.  They also hire item writers, graphic artists, and content reviewers on a remote basis.  Test scorers must have a four-year college degree, and must also be computer literate and able to learn and apply the company’s scoring guidelines correctly.

These are temporary employment positions.  But those who work on one seasonal scoring session are more likely to be hired again for future projects.

Opportunities for item writers exist in the following areas:  English Language Arts (Reading and Writing), Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.  Graphic artists must be experienced with CAD or other graphics software.

Those interested in content review and development should have a strong educational background, work experience, and knowledge of a specific content area.  Additionally, reviewers must be fair and sensitive with regards to ethnic, gender-related, geographic, and socioeconomic concerns.  If interested in test development opportunities, you must have access to a computer and be able to submit and receive materials from the company electronically.

The company offers temporary health insurance to seasonal employees and a generous benefits package to its full-time employees.  If interested in learning more about these telecommute positions, please see the company’s careers page.  Good luck!
