Vimeo is seeking a home-based New York City night owl to be a community moderator. You must be able to work between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time, Monday through Friday.

You must also be an excellent communicator.  You’ll be responding to customers via email, attending to site maintenance and content moderation, gathering and reporting bugs and other issues, and engaging with community members.

Finally, you’ll be helping test new features and providing feedback on how the company can make Vimeo better.

Requirements (from work-at-home employment listing):

  • Amazing English communication skills — the ability to convey empathy, happiness, humor, contrition, urgency, and other things using just the 26 letters of the alphabet and some punctuation.
  • Intimate familiarity with the Vimeo platform + community. If you’re already a Vimeo user, BONUS POINTS 4 U.
  • Exceptional web- and tech-savviness. Like you can name three web browsers off the top of your head and you’ve helped your parents understand how their computer works. Without getting too frustrated.
  • Patience and a willingness to teach people
  • Undying passion for film + video
  • Experience in customer service, social media, and/or online community support
  • Extreme dependability. Don’t ever text us in the morning and say, “Sry, fell asleep.”
  • Night owl disposition and excited by the idea of making people happy

This is a 100% work at home full-time position.  It does include benefits.  You will be paid hourly, with overtime for hours beyond 40 per week.  Compensation is dependent upon experience.
