American Express is currently hiring work at home travel counselors in the Portland and Seattle areas. You must be able to work a shift between 3:00am – 11:00pm PST, Monday through Sunday, seven days a week. Some nights and weekends will be required.
Requirements (from employment listing):
- Minimum of 3 years recent experience selling domestic and international travel services
- Strong international air booking experience required; car and hotel highly preferred
- Computer reservations experience required; Sabre is preferred
- Extensive domestic, international, and emerging destination knowledge
- Exceptional communication skills; passion for serving customers
- Effective selling skills and ability to listen; previous call center experience a plus
- Cool under pressure; able to multi-task and develop rapport with customers
- Resourceful and capable of using the Internet effectively, to research destinations
- Can do attitude, curiosity, and a healthy competitiveness; able to adapt to change
