Home-Based Chat Support Jobs with Innovations for Learning

Innovations for Learning is seeking home-based chat support agents on a temporary basis. This project will run until June 1st, 2020.

Hours are four to five per day, taking place in the morning.

From the company:

“Address incoming chats and provide technical support to resolve issues that interfere with the success of a tutoring session. This is a fast-paced chat center that requires someone who is patient, courteous, and efficient. Please do not apply if you are easily flustered.”

Requirements (from work-at-home job listing):

Required Attributes:

  • Understand PC software environment and Microsoft Windows.
  • Good grammar, spelling, and command of the English language.
  • Patient and professional with good customer service skills.
  • Comfortable with customer service software (LiveChat).
  • Two years of help desk/support experience.


  • Two year Associates degree preferred.

Responsibilities (from listing):

  • Interact with working professions who volunteer their time to remotely mentor first grade students.
  • Remote into laptops to resolve issues and assist volunteer tutors.
  • Track issues, tag chats, and create tickets.
  • Watch for trends that indicate potential problems.
  • Keep co-workers and management informed of trends, significant problems, unexpected delays, and anything new that is presented in the tutoring environment.

Compensation for this home-based chat support position is $17.00 per hour.
