Smarthinking, Inc. is seeking work-at-home writing tutors on a part-time basis. The company provides online tutoring, so candidates can work from any location with a computer and Internet access. Tutors generally work from 8 to 19 hours per week.
You must have substantial teaching/tutoring experience in composition, as well as an enthusiasm for online education. Ideal candidates will possess the following (from job listing): degree in rhetoric, composition, literature, and/or English education; specialty coursework, degree, or teaching/tutoring experience in English as a Second Language (ESL); and/or teaching experience in developmental and first-year English composition courses.
